About Pat and Ray Cousins

Pat and Ray Cousins have successfully run the Beachcomber Guest House for more than 8 years but you could say they have been in the "hospitality industry" for most of their lives.

Taking a quick glance at their address book and list of regular visitors will tell you straight away that they know how to make you feel welcome!

Ray has had lots of commercial experience in both his personal and corporate life. The experience that he has brought with him is his willingness to help others coupled with a determination to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. He loves cricket, golf and outdoor pursuits and wants to make sure that the guest house is the sort of place he would want to come to.

"All of the food that we serve at the guest house, from the excellent bread to the free-range eggs, is the food that we eat and we wouldn't do any less for our guests. "

Pat is a loving mother of two and a keen amateur artist. In fact, you will see much of her work adorning the walls of the Beachcomber Guest House during your stay (she may even sell you one if you ask nicely)!

"Weymouth is such a beautiful place as is the surrounding area which gives me as much material as I need for my landscape artwork...especially the stunning Jurassic Coastline. Our guests find that, even if they are not particularly into art, photography or nature walks, it is impossible to not be impressed by the history and beauty that is abundant in our surrounding countryside."

They are a well travelled couple who, over the years, have seen much of the world and accumulated many friends along the way. These extensive travels have taught them a thing or two about how to and how not to treat guests during their stay.

"We have been fortunate enough to stay in some wonderful places over the years, but the flipside is that we have also seen "the other side" of the industry. We decided when taking on the Guest House, that our "motto" would be to treat our guests to the same level of hospitality that we enjoyed during most of our travels."
