Nick and Sonia Stubbs (+ kids)
Nick and Sonia have been running the Beachcomber Guesthouse in Weymouth full time since the summer of 2014 when they took it over from Sonia’s parents. Up until that point, Sonia had been helping her parents out during the busy times for the past 6 or 7 years so she knows the bed and breakfast and hospitality business inside out.
Prior to that, they lived in sunny Spain for around 10 years which is where they met and which is also where their two children, Dillon (12) and Amber (10) were born. Sonia’s parents ran the Beachcomber guest house for around 14 years so it is a true family business.
The Beachcomber has been in the family for 15 years. It is in the perfect location for both us and the guests as we are just a stone’s throw from the town and a superb, safe and sandy beach.
The Georgian Bed and Breakfast
The Beachcomber Guest House in Weymouth is a Grade 2 listed Georgian townhouse so whilst it is somewhat restrictive in the work that can be done to the building, it also ensures that the Beachcomber retains all its character and charm.
The B & B is located over the road from the award winning, long sandy beach and a short walk from the town along Weymouth’s south/south east facing Esplanade (great for the morning and daytime sun).
It is close enough for a nice stroll along the promenade into the town center and its wonderful restaurants and bars but far enough away to ensure a good night’s sleep away from the late night revelers! The train station is also just a 5 minute walk away and is the last stop on the line.
The Guest House has 8 en-suite rooms ranging from a single on the ground floor through to a large family room that sleeps 5 with all rooms having TV, tea/coffee making facilities, WiFi and private, off road parking.
