Guest House RoomsThere are 8 Guest House rooms at this cosy Weymouth B and B, all with en-suite shower and toilet facilities, televisions, central heating and tea/coffee making facilities. Room sizes range from a small single to a large family room with one double bed and a double bunk that will sleep up to 5 guests comfortably. The rooms are all non-smoking and each has ample wardrobe space whether your stay is a single night or a full two week summer holiday. You may notice during your stay, one of the many splendid watercolour and oil paintings hung throughout the Beachcomber Guesthouse, these have all been painted by guest house owner Pat Cousins, who despite being very modest, is really a very talented painter! Her seascape studies on the wall up to the first floor are fantastic! Because of Pat's naturally artistic talent, each of the rooms is decorated to a high specification, and colour co-ordinated beautifully. Room 1 - Ground Floor
This is a single bedroom occupancy and is located just off the main reception hallway. Because of its location, it is ideal for anyone who has trouble with stairs. There are just three small steps down to the room, from the hallway. Cosy and neat, it has a fitted wardrobe and, as mentioned, shower, TV, tea/coffee making area as well as a self contained WC and washbasin. Room 2 - 1st Floor
This bedroom is ideal for families who wish to stay at the Beachcomber Guest House. As well as a double bed with bedside tables, the room also offers a bunk-bed set-up. The bottom bunk is actually a double, so a family of 5 can stay very comfortably here. The large, south facing bay window offers views to the left of Weymouth beach and bay, and has a table and chairs situated here so as to enjoy the fine view. A double wardrobe completes the furniture in this large, spacious room, with the private en-suite facilities located through a door adjacent to it. Room 3 - 1st Floor
Bedroom three is made up of a double bed with bedside tables, and is perfect for couples who stay here. A beautiful mirrored dressing table stands along-side the wardrobe and provides plenty of space to unpack! The private en-suite facilities are through a lockable door just to the left. Room 4 - 1st Floor
This twin room is a lovely, bright and sunny room. Beautiful wicker headboards complete the fresh d écor here. With a central bedside table and fitted wardrobe, again space is abundant in this room. The private facilities are just off the main room. Room 5 - 2nd Floor
A double room that is front facing, this bedroom is located on the second floor of the Beachcomber Guest House. With bedside tables, a fitted wardrobe with drawer space and the private en-suite facilities, this bedroom has a comfortable, airy feel and great for any couple wishing to stay here. Room 6 - 2nd Floor
A single bedroom facility, which again is front facing, and very comfortable which has adequate space for the single traveller. A bedside table, drawers and wardrobe offer plenty of space for you to unpack, while the shower and separate WC are clean and modern. Room 7 - 3rd Floor
This bedroom, up on the top floor, is nestled in the eaves of the property. A large, comfortable double bed provides the comfort, whilst the drawers and wardrobe offer the practical! Whilst there is a private washbasin, bedroom seven shares a WC and shower with bedroom eight. Room 8 - 3rd Floor
A large, twin bedroom, again at the top of the property, is a spacious and ample bedroom. With a central bedside table, wardrobe and storage space, you can really make yourselves feel at home here. Like room seven, it has a private sink area and shares the WC and shower facility on the landing. Please note: We offer guest house rooms 7 and 8 as another family suite option if the family room is already booked. Breakfast is served in the dining room, just off the main hallway down at ground level, and again the high level of décor and furnishings applies here too. You may notice Pat's collection of 'Jersey Cows' that adorn the pine dresser as well as many lovely bits of china and pottery that have been collected over the years. The guest lounge is here too and you are more than welcome to spend any spare time you may have here. There is a lounge area with soft seating, as well as a large TV (with terrestrial channels) and a library area, with many wonderful novels (we do ask they are returned at the end of your stay as they do belong to Pat and Ray) that you may peruse during your visit, as well as many board games, please feel free to enjoy these areas. The hallway has on display many booklets and leaflets, offering guests information on a wide range of outings and entertaining 'things-to-do', both in and out of season. Please help yourselves! Pat and Ray have private facilities on the lower ground floor. If, for any reason you need to speak to them, there is a contact bell in the hallway. |
