The Rooms at the Beachcomber Guesthouse
We have 8 bedrooms of varying size at the Beachcomber so please check them out before making your booking or enquiry.
All rooms have:
- En-suite shower, sink and WC*
- Free internet WiFi
- Tea/Coffee making facilities
*Please note that the top 2 bedrooms (double and twin) share a bathroom so they are great as a family suite for 2 couples or one couple and two kids. Privacy is good as they are at the top.
Ground Floor (room 1)
Room 1 is a single bedroom occupancy and is located just off the main reception hallway. Because of its location, it is ideal for anyone who has trouble with stairs. There are just three small steps down to the room, from the hallway. Cosy and neat, it has a fitted wardrobe and, as mentioned, shower, TV, tea/coffee making area as well as a self contained WC and washbasin.
Floor 1 (rooms 2 and 3)
Room 2 is our family room on the first floor overlooking the esplanade with some views to the beach. It will comfortably sleep up to 5 people and has one king-size double bed, one day bed (sleeps two) and a cot. The large, south facing bay window offers views to the left of Weymouth beach and bay, and has a table and chairs situated here so as to enjoy the fine view. A double wardrobe completes the furniture in this large, spacious room, with the private en-suite facilities located through a door adjacent to it.
Room 3 is made up of a double bed with bedside tables, and is perfect for couples who stay here. A beautiful mirrored dressing table stands along-side the wardrobe and provides plenty of space to unpack! The private en-suite facilities are through a lockable door just to the left.
Floor 2 (rooms 4, 5 and 6)
On floor 2, we have three bedrooms of varying size. One double, one twin and one single bedroom.
Room 4 is the first of our twin rooms and is a lovely, bright and sunny room. Beautiful wicker headboards complete the fresh décor here. With a central bedside table and fitted wardrobe, again space is abundant in this room. The private facilities are just off the main room.
Room 5 is a double room that is front facing, this bedroom is located on the second floor of the Beachcomber Guest House. With bedside tables, a fitted wardrobe with drawer space and the private en-suite facilities, this bedroom has a comfortable, airy feel and great for any couple wishing to stay here.
Room 6 is a single bedroom facility, which again is front facing, and very comfortable which has adequate space for the single traveller. A bedside table, drawers and wardrobe offer plenty of space for you to unpack, while the shower and separate WC are clean and modern.
Floor 3 (rooms 7 and 8)
Floor 2 has a double bedroom and a twin. Both share a bathroom and are at the top of the building so would be great for a family of 4/5 people (one baby) or two couples.
Room 7 is up on the top floor, is nestled in the eaves of the property. A large, comfortable double bed provides the comfort, whilst the drawers and wardrobe offer the practical! Whilst there is a private washbasin, bedroom seven shares a WC and shower with bedroom eight.
Room 8 (also on the top floor) is a large, twin bedroom, again at the top of the property, is a spacious and ample bedroom. With a central bedside table, wardrobe and storage space, you can really make yourselves feel at home here. Like room seven, it has a private sink area and shares the WC and shower facility on the landing.
Breakfast is served in the dining room, just off the main hallway down at ground level, and again the high level of décor and furnishings applies here too. You may notice our collection of ‘Jersey Cows’ that adorn the pine dresser as well as many lovely bits of china and pottery that have been collected over the years.
The guest lounge is here too and you are more than welcome to spend any spare time you may have here. There is a lounge area with soft seating, as well as a large TV (with terrestrial channels) and a library area, with many wonderful novels (we do ask they are returned at the end of your stay as they do belong to the Guesthouse) that you may peruse during your visit, as well as many board games, please feel free to enjoy these areas.
The hallway has on display many booklets and leaflets, offering guests information on a wide range of outings and entertaining ‘things-to-do’, both in and out of season. Please help yourselves! Nick and Sonia have private facilities on the lower ground floor. If, for any reason you need to speak to them, there is a contact bell in the hallway.
